ASTI - Ireland's main second level teachers union

The ASTI is affiliated to two movements which are working to secure free quality education for all: the Irish Coalition for the Global Campaign for Education and Education International.

One in every five people across the world are unable to read or write due to barriers to basic education.

Education International, to which the ASTI is affiliated, has produced a number of short films highlighting the importance of education for children and young people in developing countries.
