Members of the ASTI have voted in favour of the Public Service Agreement (Croke Park Agreement) as clarified in discussions between the Department of Education and Skills and the ASTI.
The ballot of members, which concluded yesterday, followed months of intensive discussions regarding the details of the Croke Park Agreement and how it would be implemented in second-level schools.
ASTI General Secretary Pat King today said: “After a healthy debate and careful consideration of all of the issues, the members have made their decision.”
ASTI members voted to accept the Agreement by a two to one majority.
