The National Centre for Technology in Education is an Irish Government agency established to provide advice, support and information on the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in education.

As the Government's agency on the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in education it plays a central role in helping to maximise the benefits for learners and teachers in using ICT.

The NCTE, in collaboration with other educational partners, provides a range of ICT professional development opportunities for teachers. These courses are fully funded and available through the education centre network.
