The ASTI is organised in branches of schools in 18 geographical regions. Each school is affiliated to a branch. At present, there are 56 branches in the country. Each branch elects members to the Central Executive Council (CEC) and delegates to the Annual Convention. The CEC normally meets twice a year and the Standing Committee meets on a monthly basis.
Branches must meet at least once every three months during the school year. They may meet more often than that e.g. to deal with specific issues of importance which may arise. The business of a branch meeting should be notified to each member in the form of the Meeting Agenda.
Have you got issues you would like to have discussed? Contact your Branch Secretary who will normally arrange to have them placed on the agenda for a branch meeting.
