Vice Presidential Election

The count of the ballot for the Vice-Presidential Election took place on Thursday 29th April.

The result of the election was as follows:

  • Total Poll: 396 votes – 83% turnout.
  • Spoiled votes: 2
  • Total valid poll: 394

Candidates:

Miriam Duggan – 200
Geraldine O’Brien – 194


As the ballot and count were conducted in accordance with Rule 114 of the ASTI Rules and Constitution and the procedures adopted by Standing Committee, Miriam Duggan is deemed to be duly elected as Vice-President of the Association of Secondary Teachers, Ireland.
