School Steward elections
In order to ensure continuity of union activities, we are asking School Stewards to ensure their school has a School Steward for the 2020/21 (term begins in May 2020).
Junior Cycle update
The Minister for Education and Skills has urged schools to await the conclusion of on-going discussions before taking any decisions regarding assessment arrangements for their Junior Cycle students.
Membership applications
The ASTI is processing all membership applications received during the school closure period.
ICT grants for schools
Amongst the issues of concern raised by the ASTI in relation to Covid-19 is inequalities in the provision of and access to ICT equipment for students during the school closure period.
State exams 2020: notice to members
The Minister for Education and Skills made an announcement regarding this year’s Certificate Examinations on Good Friday. Standing Committee met immediately and again on Tuesday 14th April.
