ASTI President calls for new Leaving Certificate Assessments to be ‘AI proofed’

ASTI President Padraig Curley has called on the Minister for Education and Youth Hildegarde Naughton to ensure new Leaving Cert assessment models are ‘AI proofed’, to protect equity for students and the integrity of the Leaving Cert exams system.

Addressing the ASTI Annual Convention in Wexford today Mr Curley also warned of the need to make teaching an attractive profession for young people by tackling key issues such as teacher workload, the length of the salary scale, lack of permanent full-hour jobs, and large classes.
