Are you a member of the LGBTQI+ Community?
Would you like to be able to discuss with fellow teachers any of the following?
- Issues that face you in school
- Good and bad experiences that you may have had
- How to deal with problems from school management, colleagues, students or parents
- Problems and/or decisions around coming out to the school community
Or, would you simply like to be part of a group which can influence ASTI policy on its LGBTQI+ Members?
The group meets regularly and remotely although there are plans to hold an in-person meeting shortly. We also attend the annual Pride March in Dublin and are hoping to attend Pride events in other parts of the country in the future.
All our meetings are held in strictest confidence and outside of school hours. Membership of the group is also in strictest confidence.
