Message of support to teachers in Northern Ireland
ASTI has written to the Northern Ireland Teacher Unions to extend its support and solidarity for their strike action today, Wednesday 26 April, in their ongoing campaign for fair pay.
Kieran Christie General Secretary stated: “At a time in which we are experiencing a recruitment and retention crisis at home and internationally it is important that society values teaching and remunerates teachers properly. We stand in solidarity with our colleagues in Northern Ireland.”
