Substitution directives
Following the decision by ASTI Annual Convention 2017 to direct members to withdraw from substitution with effect from the first day of the 2017/18 school year, the ASTI has issued two directives:
“ASTI members are hereby directed to withdraw from all unpaid classroom substitution, covered by the Supervision and Substitution Scheme, as comprehended by the terms of Circular Letters 0006/2014 and 0042/2014, with effect from the first day of the school year 2017/2018.”
“ASTI members are hereby directed not to indicate their availability for any periods of substitution in accordance with Appendix 1 of Circular Letter 0042/2014 for the 2017/2018 school year. Members should only indicate suitable times for undertaking supervision duty.”
