ASTI President congratulates Leaving Cert 2026 students
ASTI President Richie Bell has sent a message of congratulations to Leaving Certificate students who are receiving their results today.
“All of you have achieved a significant milestone in your lives,” said Mr Bell.
“Your teachers are proud of you. Regardless of your results today, stay calm and consider all of your options over the coming days and weeks. There are many ways of getting to where you want to go in today’s world. Talk to your family, your school, your guidance counsellor. Know that the knowledge, skills and experience that you have gained over the past few years will stand to as you pursue your goals as a young adult. There is plenty to look forward to.”
Mr Bell said this year’s Leaving Cert students benefit from a fair, transparent and trusted assessment and statement of their learning and efforts: “Irish second-level students continue to rank amongst the best in international studies. We must ensure that, regardless of societal change and national and global challenges, Ireland retains its quality education service whilst also prioritising equality for our young people.”
“Today is a day to applaud our Leaving Cert Class of 2026. For those students celebrating, make sure to keep yourself and those around you safe,” concluded Mr Bell.
