ASTI President congratulates students on Junior Cycle results
ASTI President Richie Bell has sent a message of congratulations to all the students receiving their Junior Cycle results today (October 7th).
The ASTI President said completing the Junior Cycle exams is an important step for students, giving them their first experience of State exams: “You have all reached an important education milestone and your teachers are extremely proud of you”.
Mr Bell said the Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert exams enjoy a high level of public trust.
“Our State exams process is perceived to be extremely transparent and fair for students. In my view this is part of the reason why Ireland has been identified as one of seven out of 38 countries worldwide which has an education system that rates highly for quality and equity*.
“Today is a day for celebration for all the students, parents, guardians and teachers involved in this year’s Junior Cycle exams. If you are celebrating make sure to keep yourself and your friends safe and keep parents and guardians in the loop,” concluded Mr Bell.
