The ASTI wishes to inform members that re-vetting by the Teaching Council will continue to take place over the summer months for teachers who:
- were vetted before the establishment of the NVB on 29 April 2016
- have the old paper based GVCU vet and
- were vetted between 2006 and 2016
Teachers are requested to apply for re-vetting five months prior to their renewal month. Presently, all such teachers have received their first notice from the Teaching Council giving 42 days to complete the two-stage application process. Renewal of registration is blocked for teachers who have been issues a re-vetting notice but have not complied. Reminder emails and SMS messages are issued prior to any removals.
